Tell us about where you studied and some of your highlights and favourite lecturers.
I studied at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and my favorite lecturer was Dani Bacon, who taught me in the Indie Games course and the Art and Interaction course. He was one of those rare teachers who truly inspire, putting his whole heart into every student. With his background in computer science and gaming, he introduced me to new perspectives that were completely fresh for me at the Academy. I was excited to use my skills to create interactive experiences where design truly comes to life.
What weird and wonderful things are you obsessed with right now that inspires your creative work?
Music has always been a source of inspiration for me—I never design without it. I’m sure my friends at the studio can confirm that. To be more specific, two tracks that truly resonate with me are The Great Gig in the Sky - Pink Floyd and Virtual Insanity - Jamiroquai.
Favourite travel destinations that inspire you?
I wouldn’t say I travel a lot, but I always enjoy visiting Europe. My first trip to London was especially inspiring—an absolutely overwhelming experience. I still love going back whenever I can, but my dream destination is Tokyo!
Tell us about your tools / what tech, programs, equipment and environment do you do your best work in?
I work with a wide range of programs and enjoy experimenting with different mediums and techniques. My projects range from posters and motion design to illustration, 3D design, and even game design. The three favorite programs are InDesign, After Effects, and Cinema 4D.
Which 3 creatives do you look up to and why?
I’m inspired by three designers: Michael Bierut, who is a legend in the design world, making so much with minimalist solutions. A great example of a smart designer; Dase Boogie, a motion designer whose motion literally feels like it gives life to vector forms, seamlessly connecting motion design with sound; and Jerry-Lee Bossman, whose use of color is stunning and never fails to impress and excite me.
What are your biggest hopes and dreams for 2025, both for the world and your career?
Every year, I feel that our work as designers expands even further. As everything transitions to the digital world, we have more creative freedom than ever. I see great potential in the use of AI, as it seems to help us overcome technical boundaries and gives us more time to focus on the creative process. For me, I’m looking to strengthen my portfolio with projects that combine branding and motion, ultimately aiming to work at the top studios I've dreamed of since my first day at the Academy.
