Can you tell us a little about your studio?
LaTigre is a graphic design studio based in Milan founded and directed by Luisa Milani and Walter Molteni. The studio has been constantly and tirelessly searching for multiform and kaleidoscopic visual languages since 2009. The main features of their formal research are synthesis and a vibrant use of color where the boundary between abstract and figurative often dissolves. The language, clean and sophisticated, lively and elegant, combines the rigor of the project with aesthetic lightness.
Luisa Milani and Walter Molteni are members of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).

Who inspires you and your practice?
The AGI Congress! It begins with a showcase of the new members' presentations, offering a fascinating zapping through diverse perspectives. Every year, we encounter incredibly inspiring individuals—and in that moment, witnessing their varied approaches, journeys, mindsets, and backgrounds reminds us that everyone has a unique and original way of being. This realization has been one of the most valuable lessons we’ve learned in recent years.
- What 3 pieces of advice would you give someone feeling stuck in their career to make them really take off?
- Being inspired by others' work is fine, but it’s important to interpret it through your own unique lens.
If you’re a banana, don’t try to be an apple. Some people love bananas, even if apples happen to be trendier right now. - We find the quote of Yun men, a zen master of the century, really meaningful. It says: "Those who do not seek are asleep; those who seek are beggars."
