Ness

Ness is a consumer startup that’s building a credit card for health and wellness. We’re looking for a talented Product Designer to create a revolutionary fintech and health experience that’s not only user-centric, delightful, and seamless, but also drives healthy behaviors. If you’re passionate about health equity, excited about taking on enormous incumbents, and building a brand-first, consumer-obsessed business… this is for you!

We’re funded by some of the best operators and entrepreneurs in the space and started by the former CEO & Founder of Greatist (acquired by Healthline in 2019). We’ve got enormous ambitions to flip healthcare on its head through an experience for consumers who want to get and stay healthy instead of for patients when they get sick. We see a maasive opportunity to own the consumer wallet spend in health and reward healthy behaviors to build a world where everyone can afford to get and stay healthy.

YOU MAY BE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IF
(None of these are requirements, just the kinds of people and experiences we think could be most successful here.)

→ You have at least 4-5 years of experience in product design and have designed and shipped consumer-facing software (e.g. iOS and Android).
→ You’ve got an advanced understanding of typography, grid, layout, and color.
→ You’re also a systems-thinker with the ability to see beyond the pixels and design for offline experiences.
→ You’ve got an entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in the ambiguity of an early stage startup.
→ You’re highly collaborative, organized, and a self-starter— there’s always something you want to do.
→ You’ve got excellent creative problem-solving skills and are familiar with technical constraints/limitations when designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile.
→ You’re fluent in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch and also strong in motion design.
→ You’ve got a bachelor’s degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS) or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

THINGS YOU MIGHT DO
→ Design and shape the product experience into something truly magical.
→ Act as a major internal champion/evangelist for the user experience, clearly articulating design rationale internally and externally.
→ Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify future opportunities and envision creative solutions.
→ Evolve our design process and standards in such a way that inspires and influences the work of others across the company.
→ Keep projects on track, expertly manage personal workflow, schedules, and deadlines.
→ Support the team in constant experimentation through data and user feedback to improve the user experience.
→ Empower engineers to get the fit and finish right.
