FAY is a graphic design and creative technology studio based in Brooklyn, NY. The studio works with a range of clients in the fields of technology, music, arts & design, fashion, and higher education. We’re a small, passionate team of designers, strategists and creative technologists all focused on creating work with an eye towards the future.
Role
As Senior Designer you will lead design efforts for the studio (with input from the Creative Director). This role is for an energetic, self-motivated individual interested in producing bold and exciting work and helping propel the studio into its next phase of growth. Much of the studios work focuses on the design of brand identity systems—we are looking for an individual with a passion-for and experience-in developing full brand identity systems. In addition to your work designing, you will also work with and help oversee junior & mid-level designers.
Senior Designers are expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously, be highly creative, detail oriented and comfortable communicating directly with our clients. In this role, you will work on client projects that span across a range of disciplines including brand identity design, website design, book & publication design, print & packaging, art direction, bespoke typography, motion and more.
In addition to client work, Senior Designers also collaborate on studio-initiated projects, working closely with our team on a range of interactive R&D projects that bring together technology and design to build futuristic, digital tools and interactive experiences. 3D and motion skills are a major plus, but are not required.
Requirements
• 5+ years professional experience in the graphic design field
• BFA or equivalent in graphic design
• Hybrid in Brooklyn, NY is preferred—remote applications must be within +-3 hours of EST to be considered
• Exceptional typographic, visual, and verbal craftsmanship
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite—proficiency in After Effects and 3D programs are a major plus but not required
• Manage timelines and work across multiple projects at once
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with clients, including meeting with clients, sending emails and presenting work
• Ability to work closely with our multidisciplinary, tight-knit team
