PITU STUDIO

We recently caught up with Jakarta-based studio PITU to chat about their favourite books and podcasts, the growing Indonesian design community, and their mash of personalities and expertise within the team.

Who’s on the team, what are their roles and why do you love them?

There are seven of us; we all have a background in Design and are a mash of personalities, quirks, and expertise.

Despite our nuances, we're able to work together and collaborate perfectly, inspiring each other to be better.

How did you name your practice and what does the name represent to you?

The name PITU comes from the Javanese word for ‘seven’. We want to be a Graphic Design studio that's renowned for its collaborative approach towards harmonising different personalities and levels of expertise.

This represents us as an outfit with a successful balance between know-how and intuition.
