*Give us the elevator pitch on what you do. *

Hi everyone! I'm Josue, a multidisciplinary designer, who actually lives in Córdoba, Argentina. I have worked as a graphic designer since 2009. I have had the opportunity to have my work featured on design sites. I consider myself as an organized, proactive and a very self-taught young man. I seek to always add an added value to every activity that I have to develop (not only design related). With the experience I gained in the last few years, I'm sure I'll find a way to give you high-quality creative work.

What are your three must-read design books, blogs or podcasts and why?

Here is my selection:

  1. Start with why by Simon Sinek: What you do is not as important as why you do it. The essential is to know why you do what you do, why you exist.
  2. The power of now, by Eckhart Tolle: The book pretends to be a guide to the daily life and remarks the importance of living in the present and avoid the thoughts about the past or the future.
  3. The History of graphic design, by Jens Müller: I believe it is essential reading. In this book, you’ll understand every historic moment that was part of the graphic design identity. You’ll know why today it is like it is, and why we are like we are.

Who are your top five design crushes globally right now?

What's the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Someone once told me that persistence can overcome almost any challenge. When you focus your mind into something, and you are willing to do what’s necessary, with patience, time and adjusting your strategy to get there, you’ll know in the last instance that perseverance and determination get everything.

Only thoughts don’t take you to the finish line, you will have to work hard to achieve the objective.

How did you develop your style as a designer and what tips would you have for others?

It was back in 2009 when I saw some 3D illustrations for the first time, I was fascinated. Since that day, until today, I keep learning and training. To everyone who wants to start in this wonderful world of 3D, my advice is that they investigate, that they seek, that they try. There are hundreds of video tutorials and a lot of quality material on the internet.

What advice would you give students graduating in 2019?

From today, you start a new stage in your life. I challenge you to keep updating constantly and don’t conform yourself with a degree. You’re a person that has a lot to look forward to and I know you’re going to reach very high. It is important to want things, to have goals and aspirations, but even more important is to take the action to reach them. Only thoughts don’t take you to the finish line, you will have to work hard to achieve the objective. Just remember, “you can’t climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets.” (Arnold Schwarzenegger)
