Gold Coast!

The Gold Coast design scene? Think less corporate, more creative mischief. It’s where salty-haired designers swap mood boards over acai bowls, and studios feel more like surf shacks than sterile offices. From Burleigh’s buzzing street art to hidden branding studios in Currumbin, the city’s creatives are cooking up work as fresh as the sea breeze.

Hello! I'm Tyler, a multi-disciplinary designer & illustrator working full-time freelance for range of brands & the occasional agency.
My fuel – tactile engagement and community impact. Currently I'm working across alcohol packaging, animation, strategy, illustration, and branding with a curiosity for curation and collaboration.
Totally infatuated by never sitting still, I'm motivated by learning new ways to expand my toolkit and share something meaningful with like-minded creatives.

The Design Kids Gold Coast City Guide
Our City Hosts have selected their favourite places, the best cafe’s to settle in with your laptop and a book, meeting spots for client meetings and design shops for you to spend your afternoons on your side hustle!

Dust Temple
Part gallery, part café, part creative hub, this industrial-style space is where Gold Coast’s artistic community gathers. Think live music, art shows, and design talks over strong coffee.

Miami Marketta
Not just a street food market—this lively venue is a playground for creatives. Live murals, indie design stalls, and local artists make it the perfect spot to refuel on inspiration (and bao buns).

HOTA (Home of the Arts)
A cultural hub where visual artists, designers, and performers collide. Check out exhibitions, open-air cinema nights, or just sketch by the waterfront.

Alfred’s Apartment
Half barbershop, half café, and a full-time creative hangout. A great spot for branding inspiration, casual meet-ups, or flipping through design books with a flat white in hand.
