We love Freelance illustrator Max Löffler's lighthearted interview; he has such a carefree perspective on life despite the rough patch he went through a few years back. We chat about trying to eat as much Kochkäse a day as possible, drawing every single character from Dragonball, and he opens up about the bad relationship he has with his diploma.
A big congrats to Nam Huynh, one of our 30 TDK Awards’ winners for 2018. A State Academy of Art and Design graduate from Stuttgart, his work was chosen by James & Beth from Warriors Studio: “Contemporary, energised, fresh work. Ambitious and adventurous with medium and application. Great volume and high quality of work throughout. Interesting exploration of typography across the board and the Workpool project is excellent. We can feel Nam’s genuine hunger for design. The perfect example of a poster which needs no typography and no accompanying information to communicate clearly, effectively, pack a punch but still have a hint of intrigue”. We asked Nam to answer a few questions for next years TDK Awards’ hopefuls.
We had a quick chat with freelance illustrator and all-around fun guy, Sebastian Schwamm about tractors, stealing ideas from little kids (hehe), and his time at NEON Magazine
We chat with C100 Studio Founder, Christian Hundertmark about his typical working day (which includes way too much non-design tasks), working hard (!!), and his fun art project, LAYER CAKE, with graffiti buddy Patrick Hartl
We chat with book design fiend and HERBURG WEILAND co-founder Tom Isling about books, books and more books! ;) Jks. We get a lovely introduction to the whole team, and how they went about an identity design using only Arial & NO colours, plus Tom gives his thoughts on where design is heading.

Man v’s nature
I came across Irenaeus Herok’s Insta feed (@iherok) today and was blown away. He takes images of remote locations around the world, specialising in landscape and portraiture photography. I find his aerial photography, such as these images of highways surrounding Dubai in the UAE, particularly fascinating. Whist our screens are currently (…)
Queensland Theatre 2019
For The People created a strong season identity for Australia’s fastest growing theatre the Queensland Theatre. An interplay of darkness and light with strong contrasting colours on a backlit set, inspired by the dramatic lighting of the stage. Together with photographer Tim Jones and his team, they created eight unique (…)
