El Monocromo Director and designer, Juan Pablo, loved visiting his grandfather's shop when he was young and became obsessed with store signs — believing that this is one of the things that let him into the world of design. After running El Monocromo for 8 years Juan thought it was time to evaluate and push the studio to its next level—thinking that it 'is fundamental to speculate around boundaries of design that go beyond the classic client-designer relationships and the inner workings of a studio.'
A TRES MANOS ESTUDIO & SEVER…
Camilo jumped into the creative scene at 14 when he discovered his passion for graffiti—also known as CEROKER— which led him to refine and challenge his skill through learning graphic design. Following this passion Camilo has set up a three man street art studio A TRES MANOS ESTUDIO and also delving into the branding world with SEVERO ESTUDIO. We're big fans of Camilo's amazing use of colour and the clear passion he brings to his creativity.
Yei (the oldest and the funny one), Seb (the middle and detail orientated one) and Fed (the youngest and the geekiest) joined forces to create Bastarda Type Foundry! Type Designers by trade these guys are paving the way for awesome typography in Colombia—we're loving what they're getting up to, so read on to hear how they go about their day to day and what they design landscape is like in Colombia!
